When fully built, Gilbert Regional Park will be Gilbert’s largest park to date with 272 acres of family fun and entertainment. After the opening of Phase 1A on September 21, 2019, construction is set to begin on Phase 1B of the park, bringing even more exciting attractions to the community!
Phase 1B will include:
- 7-acre lake
- performance pavilion/amphitheater
- 10-acre event lawn
- 16 pickleball courts
- 6 tennis courts
- 2 basketball courts
- 6 sand volleyball courts
Still to come:
- The Strand @ Gilbert– Gilbert’s very first water park is expected to open in summer of 2021. At 25 acres in size, The Strand @ Gilbert will feature a cable wake park, surf lagoon, sandy beach, restaurants and more.
- Ocotillo Bridge– Gilbert is building a new bridge across the Queen Creek Wash and East Maricopa Flood way to connect the east and west portions of Ocotillo Road. This will give visitors and public safety direct access to Gilbert Regional Park.
